Probably a combination of nerves and unrealistic expectations but after a couple of gaffs and clumsy takes my disappointment was evident.
Eric took my arm and pulled me aside. “Don’t show negativity to the musicians” he said. “Bad practice equals Good Show.”
I reigned it in and we continued. After a couple of takes of each song we did a full run-through of the set and it was night and day.
We had a couple of extra guests in the rehearsal room. We were videoing part of the rehearsal to edit in with the show video and our tour manager Yves Pierre-Louis sat in. I walked out of there feeling good about the upcoming show.
